Simple magic tricks – my first post

Have you ever wanted to learn magic? i have recently caught the bug! Magic tricks performed well can make your friends and family (the audience!) be amazed entertained. Also, as the “magician” you can control the audience, using misdirection so that its impossible for them to work out the trick. You can even make some people believe that there really is magic involved if you take the time to really learn magic well, look at performers like David Blaine, its obvious he is just a magician and performer but many people believe he has supernatural powers!. Doing magic is very entertaining but you also have to spend time learning the right methods and tricks to make it work.

Nowadays there are many resources online that can be used to learn tricks, sleight of hand, misdirection etc.Using these resources can also give you many of the classic magic tricksand how to do them right. Once you have grasped the basics you can start finding more advanced tricks that can be done. Although simple card tricks can be learnt very quickly to a high enough standard to impress your colleagues, you need to have dedication to learn and to make more adanced tricks believable. Like any new skill you will have to invest the time required to practice so that you can perfectly perform the tricks even under pressure in front of an audience watching your every move closely. However the time spent learning magic can be very rewarding.

You can try searching online for ebooks that can teach you how to do the basic tricks. This is one of the cheapest resources as there have been many books published over the years that are now available online for free. Not every trick can be included in just one ebook however. So you continue to read and research trying to improve your skills and knowledge.

Probably the best way to learn magic is from a well produced DVD or VCD showing the tricks from many angles and in slow motion, however these resources are rarely free. ideally, you can get some tips from magicians who are already performing but you will have trouble finding a magician who has spent years learning their craft who is willing to share secrets with you!
You have to be patient in learning how to do magic tricks. Taking advantage of all resources available so that you can improve your craft over time. As long as you enjoy what you are doing and it should not be long before you can actually perform magic tricks well enough to wow your friends and family and who knows you could go out on the street and do tricks David Blaine style and earn some money too!
